Me

This is my place. Someplace I can go and kind of keep my thoughts, dreams, and anything about life in general. Whatever I want, I can say it here. If I don't want the public to view it, it will be made private. Take no offense if you cannot read something. Somethings are meant to be kept to ones self.

I am 11 weeks pregnant!

Now that all family knows that I am pregnant I can just post these blogs. I am now 11 weeks pregnant, Yeah!!! My due date is May 21st, 2007. At my first Dr's appointment they decided not to do an ultrasound since I was sure of the first date of my last period (I know any guys who are reading this aren't cool with reading stuff like that, but get over it! Lol) which made me a little sad, that they weren't going to do an ultrasound that is. Anyone who has been pregnant knows that ultrasounds are a big thing. You get to actually SEE what is growing inside of you. Not that it is very big at this point...but it is still cool to see that peanut sized baby! At this point I won't have one until I am riht around 20 weeks, which should be about Christmas time! It would be a cool little Christmas present to ourselves to find out whether we are having another son or (fingers crossed) a daughter! I know some who won't want to know what we are having, but we want to find out! We want a little girl, but of course we will be happy with either as long as it is healthy and happy! We don't have any little boy names picked out yet, but we do still have a bit of time left to come up with something! Lol! I am going to try and post on here at least once a week to keep everyone updated, but don't get mad if I miss a week or two. With the holidays and birthdays coming up, things will be a bit hectic around here so I will do my best!

Cuddling and hugs....a perk of being a parent.

One of my favorite things about being a mom is all the cuddling and hugs you can get from your younger children. I was at families house today visiting (her daughter had spent the night with Dade) and Dade was playing with his cousin outside. We had been there for quite some time and Dade just decided to climb up in my lap, and lay with his arms around me and his head on my chest. A lot of kids do this when they are sick but I knew he wasn't. Jamie looked at me and was kind of shocked. She said she had never seen him do that. I reassured her that it was actually quite normal for Dade. He is a big cuddler when he wants to be and I absolutely LOVE it! Dawson, my oldest is way out of that stage. He barely even wants to give hugs anymore and heaven forbid if I ask for a kiss, especially in public!! Lol!! He will come up and out of the blue want a hug, and I always give it to him. I try not to deny my kids hugs and kisses (unless they are using as an excuse to get out of bed..Lol). Dawson's are fewer and far between, so I cherish every last one of them. I take advantage of all the cuddling and hugs and kisses that Dade dishes out, because before you know it, they are "too old" for all that kid stuff!! Dade will come up to Chad and I and reach to give us both big hugs and Dade's favorite thing to tell us is that we are the "Best parents in the (world/galaxy/city...etc)" and I love it when he can tell I am having a bad day and gives me a big hug and tells me I am the "Most beautiful mom ever", it always makes me smile and he knows it. That is why he says it, so that I will smile. All he wants is to be loved and love in return. He may get mad and throw a fit, but in the end, he'll climb up on my lap, give me a big hug and kiss, and cuddle. And I love every minute of it!

kids and being a MOM...

I love those nights that when the kids go to bed, they actually stay in bed and fall asleep without a peep. Too bad those nights didn't happen more often than, lets say, the nights where every five minutes you hear, "mommy, I'm thirsty", "can I take my blanket/shirt off?", can I go potty?", "I forgot to put (insert item here) in my bookbag?", "can I have another hug?".....or whatever pops into their heads at that moment. Of course this happens more when good ole dad isn't here. It's sometimes seems like they LOVE to push my buttons and see how much they can drive me insane in one single night. Well, some nights, it seems to almost push me over the edge. Tonight was one of those nights. I just wasn't in the mood for it to begin with. My mom took them out for ice cream, so I let them stay up an extra half hour to go with her, mainly because I know she misses them and hasn't seen them in a while. When they come home, they have no respect and don't listen to a simple order of "it is time to get ready for bed." Well, guess what. Now they earned themselves an early bedtime, and no credit for chores tonight. They didn't even have a chance to do them because they kept messing around while they were supposed to be getting ready for bed. Then to top it off, all the commotion after they got into bed.
Don't get me wrong I absolutely LOVE my kids, but any parent would be lying if they were to say their kids NEVER drove them insane!! They don't drive me nuts all of the time, just sometimes.
The thing that gets me is, they don't act nearly as bad when Chad is home and that just straight pisses me off to a certain extent. They tend to walk all over me at times and I am fed up! Then they get mad at me when they get into trouble! Hello!! I just dish out the punishments as I see necessary. I didn't do whatever it was that got you into trouble. You made that choice. Get mad at yourself! Why is it that I bend over backwards for my kids and they don't even notice? I bet they would notice if I quit doing it. Sounds like a great idea, huh? Will I quit doing things for them. Nope.
I won't even pretend that I will, because I know I couldn't do that. I do things for them because mom's are the most unselfish creatures there are. We all do things for our kids before we would ever even think of ourselves. That is what we do. Because we are MOM'S! Mom's are always there for you to kiss your boo boo's, to lean on their shoulders to cry, to give out as many hugs and kisses as often as you'd like (or just little head pats if you are embarrassed by hugs and kisses ;)) I have to add that being a mom is the hardest and most underpaid job out there. If you are a mom, you know you agree with me. You don't get paid by money, but by good warm fuzzy feelings, watching them grow up, getting teary eyed when they go to school, when you see them make good smart choices and know that you helped instill that in them. That is why you become a mom and love it.

Meltdown # 1....

So I had the bright idea to go for Pizza at Donatos tonight...I had been kind of craving it all day. I just wanted a veggie pizza. We get to Donatos, finally everyone makes up their minds and we order....no biggie. 35-40 minutes later we get our pizza's; Dade got his individual pepperoni pizza, Dawson his Hawaiian, Chad his Pep, bacon and banana peppers, and then she puts mine in front of me....NOT what I ordered! Okay, Chad gets the waitress, and they say they are going to find it or make a new one. 15-20 minutes later, my pizza is finally finished, and to top it all off Chad said my pizza sat under the heat lamps for at least 10 minutes while our waitress is to no where to be found. At one point she had picked up Chad's cup, that only had ice in it, put it back down, and didn't even bring a refill!!! She was a horrible waitress, and believe me, I know!!! I am beyond pissed! I just want my food boxed up so we can leave!! Chad gets the manager and explains the problem. He ends up putting the money back on my debit card and giving us 2 certificates for free 14 inch 1 topping pizzas! Sweet! I eat in the car on the way home. I was practically starving.
The icing on the cake was when Dawson realized on the way home that we didn't go to Chad's cousins house like we had originally planned that night and was bummed and said, "did mom mess it up?" My feelings were so hurt. Do I really screw things up that much that my 8 year old has to comment on them? I know deep down that he was trying to joke, but with everything that had happened, it was just too much... and the flood gates were opened.
*sigh*
The hormones have taken over....
Once I post this (some people don't know I am pregnant and I don't want them to find out this way) I am sure that many more will follow it...
many more meltdowns are sure to come....
stay tuned!!!

Hmmmmm...

So I am sitting here on the net, wanting to write a blog, but I have no clue what to write about. I figure I'll just start writing and see where it goes. Worse case scenario, I delete it and it doesn't get posted, woopity doo... no big deal. It isn't like I am really doing anything really productive here anyway. Just reading a few friends blogs, thinking about life and wondering what I am actually meant to do with mine. Right now I work at the olive Garden as a server. It is decent money for what few hours I work, plus I can work around seeing the kids (which is important to me) and any thing we have going on. The only thing is, I know that I don't want to be a sever for my whole life. No offense to those out there who are 30 or maybe even 40 and are servers somewhere, you do what you gotta do. I just don't want to be a server for much longer. I do enjoy my job, although it can stress me out, and to top it all off, I am a really good server. I always thought i should go to college, but honestly nothing appeals to me there. I get bored with things to quickly, so one minute, I think teaching would be great, I do love working with kids, and the next, I think working with computers would be kind of cool. Maybe even make my own website...nah.... I just don't have the attention span for any of it anymore. I love to sew and do all sorts of little craft things, but you can't make a living doing that. So basically I am at a loss here. I am almost 30 years old and have no clue what I want to be when I grow up. Lol! When I grow up....
What to do.....

Stolen Bike....

So I come home from work today, already in a crappy mood (a slow day at work=no money to be made) and find out that my oldest boy's bike was stolen sometime between last night and when I got home around 4:15pm. Such bullcrap....People around here just make me so freaking mad. Yeah, we should have had it chained up, but that isn't the point. And it isn't like it cost a lot of money, like $60 bucks from Walmart, but that isn't the point either. The point is, if it isn't yours and you don't have permission to ride it, DON'T TOUCH IT!!!! Yeah, it may not have cost a lot of money, but money doesn't grow on trees and I can't afford to go and buy him a new one!!! Why would you steal a kids bike...it probably is another white trash kid who stole it, but didn't your parents teach you not to steal!!! I keep checking to see if someone brought it back, but that probably won't happen. Stupid pieces of crap white trash. Go to freaking Walmart and buy your own!!

RIP....Dawson's bike 12/06 - 09/03/07
Sorry...I had to vent and get this off of my chest!!! Some people just make me so freaking mad.
