Me

This is my place. Someplace I can go and kind of keep my thoughts, dreams, and anything about life in general. Whatever I want, I can say it here. If I don't want the public to view it, it will be made private. Take no offense if you cannot read something. Somethings are meant to be kept to ones self.

Prego pictures....8 1/2 months and my cradle...

Here is me about 8 1/2 months pregnant...

Of course I think I look like crap, but you judge for yourself.

Here Chad took a pic of me sleeping on the couch that same day. I don't know why I am including this one, but I figures why not!!

Here is the cradle that was made for me when I was little. it even has my name on it...awwww! I got it from my step-dad's basement and intend on using for little Lily to sleep in our room that first month or so...
I had to clean it up a little and I am going to get some murphy's oil for it to make it all shiny and stuff. I am super excited about it though. I figure even if she doesn't sleep in it, she can use it when she gets older for her little dolls!

I feel like I was going to write more, but who knows. If I think of more I can always write more later...

It finally happened to me....

Okay, so you hear all sorts of stories of pregnant women forgetting silly things all the time. My all time favorite is putting two different shoes on and not even realizing it. Well folks, it happened to me today. I was lying on the couch because of a headache when I realized it was about time for Dawson to have baseball practice. I beckon for the kids and tell them to get shoes, coats, and hats on all while I am doing the same thing. On the way to practice I stop by the local gas station to get the boys some powerade. We get to practice, I talk with the coach for a few minutes asking about T-ball, and ten turn around and talk to a good friend Will Fooce for a while. I then get a text from Chad saying he is finished at work and for me to come and get him. So I let the coach know I will be right back and go get Chad. Pick Chad up, drop him off at home and then go back to practice to get Dawson. I get out of the car happen to glance down at my feet as I am walking and thought I saw laces...wait, my shoes don't have laces, they are slip on...so I go back to the car, sit down and hold out my feet...lo and behold...two different shoes. One of my slip ons and one of Chad's shoes! Lol!!! I had thought earlier that the shoe on my left foot felt a little looser, but never thought to look. Just thought maybe my other foot was a little bit swollen! I guess not! I am sure I could have made the story shorter, but I wanted y'all to see how long it took me to realize I had two different shoes on. Seriously about an hour and a half. I can't help but laugh at myself! So please, join in the laughter!! You know you want to!

Baby update

So I just got back from the doctor and all is well! Still feeling great, a little tired at times, and Lily likes to put her feet up in my ribs and crowd my lungs, but then again, she doesn't have a lot of room in there! Lol! I have gained about 22 pounds which is a far cry from the 50 I gained for each of the boys! The best news I heard today was that she is now head down and that was a sigh of relief! one of my biggest fears is a c-section. I mean if it has to happen, then it has to happen, but I want to do everything in my power to keep that from happening. The thought of being cut open just doesn't appeal to me. I haven't had any swelling in my feet and ankles and have just now started to have a dull ache in my back, not counting the tightness I get when I have braxton hicks contractions, which also have been coming more often, and not just at night now. Though that is normal now, especially at this stage! Contractions may not be fun, but it is a sign that my body is getting prepared and I like that!! When the doc measured me I am measuring 2 weeks ahead of schedule and this is the third doctors appointment in a row that I have measured that way. It could mean nothing or it could mean that I am going to go early! The thought of her coming early is exciting and scary all at the same time. I feel like I have so much to do still. We still need to get all the nursery stuff set up in her room, and still need to settle on a middle name! Ahhhh!! Well, I suppose I should go get started....more updates later!!

OG Baby-shower

The girls at work held a joint baby-shower for Jess and I since we are both due mid May. They had talked about it a few months ago, but then I never heard a word about it (man my co-workers are great secret keepers!) until about 5 days before. All I can say is that the girls who put the baby-shower together did a fantastic job. It was so much more than I ever expected and I appreciate everything I received for Lily and I appreciate my co-workers for everything they did. Thank you My fellow Olive Garden co-workers!!!

Can you tell the nursery is being done in Frogs???

St. Patty's 2008

This year was the first year for Rion and Becky's annual St. Patty's to be held in Ohio. It was a very fun weekend. I only have one pic and that is of Luci...Here it is...
Luci sporting some green hair for the Irish holiday!!

Blizzard of 2008

Ohio had a nice Blizzard a few weeks ago. Okay, so it wasn't so nice, mainly because that was the weekend we were planning on getting most of our moving done, so unfortunately we didn't get it all done then (actually we are just finishing up, hopefully this weekend). We got about 15-20 inches of snow, and one thing is for sure, the kids had a blast in it! We were at Chad's brother Glenn's most of the time, and the kids made a cave which was pretty darn cool. Didn't last long because we all know how Ohio weather can be....Blizzard one day and 2 days later 50 degrees out...seriously. The weather in this state cracks me up!

Cars covered on day 2...

Dade attempting to climb the cave they built the day before...

Woops...he started to fall through!

I know there is a road here somewhere...
where did it go?

Dade is so silly

Dade, my 5 year old is just so silly. Plus the things that come out of this kids mouth just crack me up. I should keep a mini notebook handy and write it all down or better yet, have one of those mini-recorders to record it and play back at a later time, especially on days when I need a little pick me up. I know playing some of those little "Dade sayings", would just send me into tons of laughter! He also loves to pose for pics...well, most of the time he is already doing something silly or funny and I just have to get a picture and he loves to pose...here are a few pics....

Dade striking a guitar pose, in my sunglasses, and I think he kind of looks like Bono! Lol!

Peace out YO!!!!

Moving...

So, the first part of moving went well. I had to call and get utilities switched, get our stove and fridge, and of course talk about it. Now the actual moving is here and I can't do it. Everything about it frustrates and overwhelms me. All I did this morning was look around the apartment and cry. I didn't even know where to begin. I have been trying to start packing and doing laundry for a week and it never got done. I wanted this move to be better than all of our past moves. I wanted to have things sorted BEFORE they went to the new place, but of course it was put of until the last minute like always and I am really kind of pissed about it. Now I am getting basically reprimanded for not doing much. Well if we could have started this when I wanted to, then maybe it would have went smoother. Now all of this crap is going to just sit there like it does here and piss me off even more there, because half of this crap isn't even supposed to be in the new place. It was supposed to go to storage. Now I feel like crap because I can't really do much more and will be constantly reminded of it in the future. I wanted to sort clothes and store the ones that weren't needed or being used. I wanted to throw away a bunch of crap and now I am going to still be overwhelmed by this crap. I wanted to start making my stuff for the baby pretty soon after moving, but who knows if I will even be able to make them at all. (a great big SIGH)
I have been doing so well too with all of this and now this has to happen. It just needs to be over with. Now.

Busy, moving, and ultrasound.....

I feel like I have been so busy. Sorry I haven't updated on here for a while. Between work, taking care of the kids, and just life in general, it is hard to find the time. Things have been going so wonderfully well and I am so happy with life right now, it is hard not to smile most of the time. I did finally have to drop my hours at work. My body decided that I just can't work all those hours and grow a baby at the same time, go figure, Lol! I got a little overheated on Valentines night and had to go home. Nothing major, just had to realize that it was time to cut back. I guess now is probably a good time to do it too. Dawson and Dade will both be doing baseball this spring and I figure their practices will be starting up around the middle to end of march, and that in itself is going to keep me busy enough!

We also finally found a new place to move in to. A three bedroom town house in Buckeye Lake. (I will put pic up after we get moved in) We are beginning to move this week so between my work schedule and Chad's (he is now working at the Olive Garden too) and all of the family and friends helping out, we should hopefully be moved in within this next week. There is a lot to do, but packing will help keep me from going stir crazy. I am just not used to not working 40 hours a week. I just can't wait to get out of this too small apartment. Down stairs is the Living room, Den/Dining area (which is going to be our computer area), a little back porch where we can put a grill (finally), a kitchen, a little 1/2 bathroom, and a laundry area (no more laundry mats, Yeah!!!!). Upstairs is our bedroom, Dade and Dawson's bedroom (still sharing a room), Lily's bedroom and the bigger bathroom (two bathrooms will be nice!!!). We are all so excited. The kids will still be going to the same school, which was a goal of mine in moving. I didn't want them to change schools.

Once we get moved in, I am going to start making everything for Lily's bedroom. I am going to try my hands at a simple quilt. I went last week and picked out all the fabric that I want to incorporate into her room. The theme is frogs of course. I am sure no one who knows me would have guessed that! Lol! But like I was saying I want to make a quilt, bumper pads, crib sheets, and possibly a little canopy for her bed. I am so excited, but I have to wait until we get moved before I can start. I tried not to do too much pink because I figured everything else would end up being pink...Lol!
Here is the fabric I picked out...

I went to the doctor on the 4th and finally started gaining weight, which is great because I didn't want the doctor to yell at me! Lol! I had another doctor appointment on the 26th, which was also my glucose test! Ugh!!!! It may look like Orange pop, but it sure as heck doesn't taste like it. All the sugar really got Lily moving that she about made me sick to my stomach! Lol! I haven't heard anything back from the doctor and they always say that no news is good news so yeah!!! Everything else is going really well too. I have gained a total of 18 pounds, which is a LOT less than I had gained with the boys at this point, but I figure that between working and weighing more when I got pregnant this time (115 lbs. with th boys as compared to 145 lbs. this time around) it is okay not to gain as much and the doctor is worried, so neither am I!! I do have to start going to the doctor every two weeks since I am now 29 weeks!! That is so hard to believe that I only have 11 weeks left!! Thinking that does make me a bit nervous though because it seems like there is still so much to do!!! Oh well...I had just better get on the ball!!! lol!!

Well, we went in on March 1st and did the 3D Ultrasound. It was so cool!!! We verified that the baby is indeed a little girl and we got a 100% guarantee!!! I do have to say I was a wee little nervous before. You always hear those stories how they were told it was a girl, they did the nursery all in pink and then out popped a little boy!! I didn't want that to happen! She is so adorable. I think she looks a lot like the boys when they were babies. Several people have commented on how they think she has Chad's nose and my cheeks (of course). the technician said tight now she is 17 inches long and weighs about 3 1/2 pounds. If she keeps going at the normal rate, then she will be 21-22 inches long and weigh in the high 7 low 8 pounds at birth. Here I was hoping that she'd be smaller than the boys were since she is a little girl...Lol! Oh well, as long as she doesn't get bigger than that!! They also said she has a head full of hair! Yeah!!! Here are a few pics for you to enjoy and as soon as I figure out how to add the video, I will do that as well!

Here is a picture of her foot.
Just so you all know, newborn socks are out of the question...Lol!!

Here is our precious little Lily!
If you look closely, you can see some of her hair!
No bald baby here!!

Look at those cute little toes!!!

Her profile.
With her foot and you can see the umbilical cord there also.

And look at that mouth!!
Is that mommy's or Daddy's big mouth that she has??? Lol!
