Me

This is my place. Someplace I can go and kind of keep my thoughts, dreams, and anything about life in general. Whatever I want, I can say it here. If I don't want the public to view it, it will be made private. Take no offense if you cannot read something. Somethings are meant to be kept to ones self.

Baseball...just pitch me a tent at the field....

Okay. So I just finished typing up the boys' baseball schedule so that I can send it to my sister and OH MY GOSH!!! I am exhausted just from typing it!!! I do have to say that this is going to be a very interesting 2+ months. I really hope that the people who said they would help get them to and from practices/games when the baby comes really will 'cause if not, I don't know how we are going to do it?!?!? I thought I would copy and past it on here just to show you all...

34/35 weeks and counting...

This morning I had my doctors appointment and here is the update I know you all have been waiting for! They technically still have my due date as May 21st since that is the first due date they gave me, but oh well...so they have me at 34/35 weeks. Well I am still measuring 2 weeks ahead which is no biggie. I am now up to 170 lbs., which puts me at having gained 25 pounds, about half of what i gained for the boys at this point. I asked to be checked because I have been having a lot of groin pressure, my contractions seem to be coming a lot more often, and I was just curious. She said I am dilated to 1 1/2 and that the reason for my groin pressure when I walk is that Lily's head is really REALLY low. She is ready!! YEAH!!!! Actually she had me feel right around the pubic bone and you can feel her head! (I told Chad to feel once I got home but he was like no way! I'm not pushing in on her soft spot and giving her brain damage!! Lol!!) I am just glad she is still head down. I told the doc I wasn't sure cause I still have a hard time breathing and usually when the baby has dropped, you can breath a little easier. She just said that it is probably cause she is so long and is still trying to stretch out! Oh well, here in just a few short weeks I will be able to hold her and she can stretch out as much as she wants (and I will be able to breath!!). So it is down to the nitty gritty here and the count down is on!!

And because I think all blogs should have pictures...here is what the baby looks like at 34/35 weeks...

Animal School

So there is this video that I have to share. I remember watching it some time ago and can’t believe I didn’t post a blog about it. I had to have at least posted a bulletin, but a blog would have been better. It is this great video called "Animal School". I can’t even really begin to describe it. You just have to watch it. If you have children or are involved with children in any way, this video is a MUST SEE!!!!

Just click on the Animal School link below and enjoy!!

Please let me know what you think....

Baseball is underway...

Today was Dade's first T-Ball practice. When I first arrived, I do have to say that it was a bit comical. All these wee little kids, out in the field, with their wee little gloves on trying to throw the ball back and forth. The kids were totally oblivious to what was going on. You had the one or two kids who you could tell had either played before or at least had parents who had played catch with them on a more serious note. So many kids almost got hit because they just had no clue to watch for the ball or to wait until their throwing partner was paying attention before throwing the ball to them...Lol! It will come to them all in due time.
Dade was so worried that they would throw the ball too fast for him. We kept trying to tell him he would be hitting the ball off of a tee, but I don't think he understood it at the time. He had so much fun once he got out there and you could tell by the look on his face. That is all I care about, is him having fun. Yeah, all parents want their kids to do well and win win win, but to me, especially when they are younger, they have to have fun!

Dade getting ready to hit the ball off the tee...
And he did it!! Yeah!!!

So between both the boys being in baseball/ t-ball this year, I might as well pitch a tent at the baseball field and live there for the next few months. Heck, the week I am due (let's hope Lily does come a week or two early...) Dawson alone has 4 games!

On a funny note, Chad literally showed up for the last 3 minutes of practice (and did get to see Dade bat) and now he is basically assistant coach, Lol! the coach was saying we had a field to practice on this Saturday, but he was going to be out of town and if we still wanted to get together to practice he would leave equipment with someone. Chad was basically the first to speak up and well, to sum it all up, is now assistant coach. He has always talked about wanting to be involved more with the kids in their activites, just didn't realize that this would be how it happened! Although he did say that he wasn't going to be the one to make the reminder practice phone calls or any of that sort of stuff...and since I am the one with the organizational skills (Lol!) then I basically got roped into doing that! I am the assistant coaches wife I guess! Lol!!

This is going to be a fun baseball season!!

Uncomfortable....

Okay. So I am now right about 9 months prego. I have finally reached the point of being uncomfortable ALL the time!! Heartburn and Acid reflux seem to have taken hold and won't let go. Ugh. Chad told me yesterday that he has noticed me using that word, "ugh" a lot. Why yes, I have been. it is the best description of how I feel. Between all the acid eating away at my esophagus, and being tired because I just got dressed, not to mention how Lily loves my ribs and pushing up on my lungs. Then you add the contractions that love to attack me at night. I do remember saying I love being pregnant and I really truly do. I do not, however, like the last month. I have so much to do it seems, but just thinking about it makes me so tired that I have to lie down and take a nap. Oh and everything is so overwhelming. The emotional roller coaster this last month sucks. I want to cry for no reason and then I am fine. I feel so bad for Chad. I can only imagine what goes through his mind. "Whats wrong Honey?", "I...don't....know...." I manage to say between sobs. I do NOT like feeling this out of control. It scares me a lot. I do just keep telling myself that it is almost over and the reward is our beautiful little girl to hold in our arms and watch grow up with her brothers. ;-) Chad has been awesome though. I feel so bad because I feel like I can't do anything on my own, without help. I need him to carry something, or fix something, put something together, pay the bills, finish moving our boxes, rub my back...but he has been there every time. If he isn't home and I am having a "moment" he is sure to give me a hug as soon as he walks in the door. I am so thankful. He told me to make a list of things that need done and he will be sure to help me. He understands that it isn't just me flipping out, that it is the baby hormones raging through my body, and that it will not last. heck he is the one that tells me that it will not last. he has been so helpful, thoughtful and caring and I am so thankful for that. So even thought I am uncomfortable, I have a wonderful man here by my side...
Thank you Chad. I love you!

Prego pictures....8 1/2 months and my cradle...

Here is me about 8 1/2 months pregnant...

Of course I think I look like crap, but you judge for yourself.

Here Chad took a pic of me sleeping on the couch that same day. I don't know why I am including this one, but I figures why not!!

Here is the cradle that was made for me when I was little. it even has my name on it...awwww! I got it from my step-dad's basement and intend on using for little Lily to sleep in our room that first month or so...
I had to clean it up a little and I am going to get some murphy's oil for it to make it all shiny and stuff. I am super excited about it though. I figure even if she doesn't sleep in it, she can use it when she gets older for her little dolls!

I feel like I was going to write more, but who knows. If I think of more I can always write more later...

It finally happened to me....

Okay, so you hear all sorts of stories of pregnant women forgetting silly things all the time. My all time favorite is putting two different shoes on and not even realizing it. Well folks, it happened to me today. I was lying on the couch because of a headache when I realized it was about time for Dawson to have baseball practice. I beckon for the kids and tell them to get shoes, coats, and hats on all while I am doing the same thing. On the way to practice I stop by the local gas station to get the boys some powerade. We get to practice, I talk with the coach for a few minutes asking about T-ball, and ten turn around and talk to a good friend Will Fooce for a while. I then get a text from Chad saying he is finished at work and for me to come and get him. So I let the coach know I will be right back and go get Chad. Pick Chad up, drop him off at home and then go back to practice to get Dawson. I get out of the car happen to glance down at my feet as I am walking and thought I saw laces...wait, my shoes don't have laces, they are slip on...so I go back to the car, sit down and hold out my feet...lo and behold...two different shoes. One of my slip ons and one of Chad's shoes! Lol!!! I had thought earlier that the shoe on my left foot felt a little looser, but never thought to look. Just thought maybe my other foot was a little bit swollen! I guess not! I am sure I could have made the story shorter, but I wanted y'all to see how long it took me to realize I had two different shoes on. Seriously about an hour and a half. I can't help but laugh at myself! So please, join in the laughter!! You know you want to!
